On February 6th and 13th public hearings will be held by the Durham City Council to receive citizen comments on needs in Durham neighborhoods.
The first meeting to be held on February 6th at the Durham City Council Chamber- City Hall (101 City Hall Plaza) at 7:00 pm
It is envisioned that these needs will be addressed through the use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) Consortium funds, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds as contained in the upcoming FY 2012-2013 Annual Action Plan. For FY 2012-2013, the City of Durham anticipates receiving approximately $1.6 million in CDBG funds and approximately $761,000 in HOME Consortium funds and $80,000 in Emergency Solutions Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
A companion hearing will be held on February 13th at the Durham County Administrative Complex in the Board of County Commissioners Meeting Room (200 East Main Street, 2nd floor) at 7:00 pm
This public hearing will also be held by the Durham Board of County Commissioners to receive citizen comments on needs in Durham neighborhoods. It is envisioned that these needs will be addressed through the use of HOME Consortium funds as contained in the upcoming FY 2012-2013 Annual Action Plan. Durham anticipates receiving approximately $761,000 in HOME Consortium funds from HUD.
