Center for Hope Campaign Update
In December, 2010 the Atlanta Home Loan Bank awarded the Durham Rescue Mission an $ 800,000 grant toward construction of a 31,400 sq ft multi-purpose building, the Center for Hope to be built on the Mission’s Campus for men located at 1201 E Main St. One of the requirements to receive this award was the entire funding for this project, $4.5 million, must be secured within one year of the award and that deadline will occur on December 9th.
The Rescue Mission has already raised $4,310.000 which is 96% of our $4.5 million goal. Dr. Mills said “we are very, very close to our goal and we only need $190,000 more to meet this deadline set by the Atlanta Home Loan Bank . Many of our friends have given generously and we are grateful for their support. With all of us working together we will be able to meet this deadline.”
