Did you know that the amount of documented cases of human trafficking in North Carolina has risen 600 percent in the last 18 months? This disheartening statistic can be addressed by concerned citizens in every community in every walk of life. Find out more about the Durham anti-trafficking organization, Transforming Hope at newhope church on Wednesday October 19 at 6:30pm. The evening will include a Q&A with newhope’s Pastor Benji Kelley and THM’s founder Abbi Tenaglia as well as a special screening of the short film “The Candy Shop”, testimony from a survivor of teen trafficking and some great music. There will be some free desserts and coffee available.

A love offering will be taken as a way to raise funds for Transforming Hope’s first safe home for child victims of human trafficking.
